The greatest gIft

The greatest gift I received these past two months of preaching from Matthew 24:14 has been the gift of longing for His face. I’m not talking about the face we see through faith, though that is powerful, but seeing the face of our returned Lord.

The reason why the Holy Spirit poured himself out upon our generation was to cause Jesus to become real in our hearts and to prepare for his return. When he comes, we’ll get to finally behold this Godman who’ve we’ve read, meditated, sung about.

Beloved, that day is coming where we will gaze into the eyes like flames of fire who will shine brighter than the sun. With this new revelation, I have become even more energized to finish this mission of proclaiming the gospel to the whole world to prepare for that day when He comes.

Today I preached at Bangju church and many were blessed. I pray that God will raise up a generation of Jacobs who will wrestle with the text and live according to God’s will —walk like Jesus with purity and obedience to hasten the day of the Lord.
