Wrestling to finish the mission to behold the face of God

I was invited to speak at Sejong Onnuri church last Wednesday and saw numerous people experience the power of God — the Holy Spirit came upon several people and a woman was set free from demons. God has been moving mightily in Korea. When I spoke at Alive Church, the power of God was released and people fell under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, a man who had church wounds came forward and rededicated his life to the Lord and many followed his example. The worship leader hurt his leg at 3am practicing worship for Sunday and came to church limping with metal holding his leg in place. We prayed for his leg and all of the pain left, so he threw the metal support straps into the trash. A woman who had Lupus came to church who couldn’t bend her fingers but after prayer, she was able to bend them! That was an external sign of what I believe to be an internal work God is doing in her. I declare her healed of Lupus in the mighty name of Jesus!

I spoke at Suwon Hana church and when I prayed for a lady who was complaining at God for the lack of growth in her life for the past 7 years , I spoke the word of knowledge of 7 years of what had happened in her life and immediately she knew it was from God and she gave up her addictions. The last sister I prayed for was set free from the demons of pain and torment. I could see in her eyes that these demons did not want to leave but upon commanding them out, they were evicted. The struggle eased and she was free!

God has been transitioning us into a season of greater fruitfulness and I’m so thankful to the Lord for all that he’s done so far in Korea for the last month and a half.

It truly has been a journey. I’m not an extroverted person, but by God’s grace and power, he has led me in such a way and helped me to transition greater dimensions in the realm of the Spirit. The past season has been focused on the Holy Spirit and every time I’ve preached and taught on the Holy Spirit, I saw powerful moves of God.

When one is in the Spirit, it’s the closest thing to God’s presence. But I’ve realized that there’s even a closer and more intimate encounter with God and that’s when Jesus returns and we get to actually behold His face. It’s one to behold God in worship service or prayer time, it’s another when you get to finally see the one you’ve been singing to and mediating about.

Jacob wrestled with God and got to see His face. We are the generation of Jacob. If we have clean hands and a pure heart, we shall ascend the Holy Hill of Zion and see Jesus. In part now through the Holy Spirit, but in fullness, when Jesus comes back.

Living and walking like Jesus is a wrestle. It’s challenging, but when we say yes to the mission, we will get to enjoy and delight in beholding His countenance. The Holy Spirit inspired me to walk like Jesus in his early ministry and in hindsight I realized that He did that because my surrendering to walk like Jesus and discipling others to do the same hastens the day of the Lord. Walking like Jesus is the greatest missional strategy — if obeyed, we will used as stewards of revival. The ultimate end is not some goosebumps during a Sunday service worship experience, but seeing the face of God one day.

I will gladly take up the challenge of Matthew 24:14 and proclaim the gospel to all people, so that I can bring Jesus back and delight in Him. God gave us the Holy Spirit as a foretaste of what is to come. I long for that day when I get to see His face. Darkness will fall upon the earth, lightning will go from the east to the west and Jesus will come down on the clouds with great power and glory and every eye will see Him. That’s what we’re waiting for and we’ll do whatever it takes for that to happen quickly, because we love Him. Even if it means to lay down our reputation and human recognition, because it’s far better to be with Jesus and behold His face and lose everything than have everything and never get to dwell in His presence.

May we be like David who’s one thing was the Lord and John the Baptist who’s sole desire was for the bridegroom to get all the glory. May we be like Jacob and wrestle with God in all that He’s called us to do in mission, because when obeyed, we will surely see His face shining brighter than the sun when He returns.
