The essence of mission

What’s better than worship? Worshipping God together. That is the essence of mission. We leave the 99 for the one lost soul. Jesus looked at the helpless and harassed crowd and they looked like sheep without a shepherd. We leave the 99 who are not in need to saving and we go on a rescue mission to find the one lost soul who I’ll die without the gospel.

Someone, capital S, died so that we can live. Evangelism and mission is us dying so that somebody else can live. Why? Because it’s far better to worship together than alone.

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!””
