Year of the Shepherd

Despite the ongoing personal, national, and global crises we are currently experiencing, we can trust in God's promise that as our Good Shepherd, He will guide us through even the darkest times. We do not need to be afraid, because even as things may seem to worsen, we can rely on his perfect leadership. We can put our trust in Him, and submit to His divine guidance, in the midst of this difficult period.

God's promise to guide and protect his people is a source of comfort and hope in times of crisis. In the Bible, Psalm 23 is a well-known passage that describes God as a good shepherd who leads his sheep through difficult times. Psalm 23:4 says "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” It is a powerful reminder that God is always with us and that we need not fear.

Another verse that may be of comfort is Isaiah 41:10, which says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

It is important to remember that when we submit to God's leadership, we can trust that He is working for our good, even when we don't understand what's happening or why. Having faith and trust in God's sovereignty during this time can give us peace in difficult situations.

How can we navigate these hard times? Has God given us a blueprint from his word on how to be lead by him this year?

The Psalm 2 crisis requires a Joel 2 response, resulting in an Acts 2 outpouring of the Spirit which will bring about an Isaiah 61 outreach among every people in preparation for Christ's return.
